Overview
Lizzie is a young married woman who struggles with a philandering husband and a controlling mother. When her "imaginary" childhood friend, Fred, reappears, things turn chaotic but slowly help Lizzie wake up to her own strengths, that only Fred had previously brought out. With her life in chaos, staying in her childhood home, Fred comes back to play. While Lizzie is at first hesitant to participate in Fred's antics, which include lobbing off Lizzie's long hair, as well as telling off her mother and her womanizing husband. While Lizzie meets a man during this journey with the pixie-like Fred, the result has more to do with her own self-actualization and appreciating her qualities as much as Fred, who is more an extension of herself, does.
