Overview
Laura grew up in an orphanage, an old house that she wants to turn into a home for disabled children now that the orphanage itself is no more. With her husband and her adopted son Simon, she moves back there. However, Simon begins to talk about an imaginary friend named Tom's. Meanwhile, a social worker named Benigna informs Laura that she has looked at Simon's file and that he is HIV positive and unlikely to live, a fact Simon learns as well from his new imaginary friends. After a fight with his mother, the boy disappears. Searching for her son, Laura uncovers a terrible secret about Benigna and the tragic fate of a number of orphans at the home.
