This live-action movie follows George, a boy who was raised in the jungle after a plane crash by a talking gorilla and other animals. George's journey begins with a happy life in the jungle, but he finally comes face to face with "sophisticated" humans. While the men don't understand him, there's a strange attraction between George and Ursula Stanhope, a woman he meets when she's touring the jungle with a guide and her fiance, Lyle. Unbeknownst to Ursula, Lyle is actually a poacher looking for the grate "White Ape." George struggles to communicate with Ursula and other humans in comedic interactions. However, it's the trickery of Ursula's betrothed that confuses George and ultimately forces him to become the man he was always intended to be. |
