Overview
Mathias Gold has been down on his luck lately, and when he inherits an apartment in Paris, it couldn't have come at a better time. Mathias never really knew his traveling father that well, but he's happy that the man finally did something worthwhile for Mathias. Unfortunately, there's someone else living in his apartment. He wants to sell the apartment to a developer, but finds out that his father made a horrible deal with Mathilde Girard. Instead of paying a lump sum for the apartment, Mathias' father promised to pay a monthly fee to Girard until she dies. Her doctor promises Mathias that could be a very long time.
