Overview
Allegedly loosely based on a true story, journalist Hunter Thompson and his attorney, Lazlo, travel cross-country with the intent to try and report on two important stories happening in 1972 - the Super Bowl and the presidential elections. Usually in an alcohol and drug-induced state, Thompson and Lazlo journey haphazardly across America, seemingly without intent or direction, and find themselves in comical situations and constantly sidetracked and distracted from their actual mission, usually by each other's antics.
