Writing softcore porn in the Hollywood jungle is burning out Carter Webb. After a nasty breakup with his girlfriend, he pulls up stakes for some downtime with his homebound grandma in suburban Detroit. Carter's ability as a helpful housemate quickly comes into question, and the scene gets a little more tangled when he meets a foxy neighbor with a rebellious daughter, living just across the street. In getting involved with ordinary folks and their ordinary problems in flyover country, Carter discovers that real life can be even more interesting than a jaded screenwriter can imagine. |
