Overview
Louisiana governor Earl Long has never been reserved or conservative. He likes drinking and woman, and even as an older man he has liked visiting strip clubs. One evening, he meets a stripped named Blaze Starr, and he falls in love with her. Blaze soon moves in with Earl, but this presents problems for his upcoming election campaign. Earl must fight for his causes and policies all while remaining true to a woman whom he actually cares for.
