Trailer | Overview In 1939, Edward Wilson is a Yale student with a bright future who joins the Skull and Bones Society. He meets an FBI agent, Sam Murach, who asks him to investigate charges that his professor is a Nazi sympathizer and is working with the Germans. Later, he is forced to leave the love of his life to marry Clover Russell, a politician’s daughter and classmate’s sister, when a one-night stand leaves her pregnant. Thanks to his previous investigation work, Wilson gets an invitation to join the Office of Strategic Services and serves with the agency throughout World War II. He becomes a founding member of the agency’s transition into the Central Intelligence Agency after the war, and heads covert operations during the Bay of Pigs, looking for the leak that tipped off Castro. His methods become standard procedure for the agency, but as the Cold War goes on, he finds that putting his job before his family comes with a price. |
