Overview
In a coming of age story, a young girl refuses to conform to the standards of society. Set in 1977 a young girl has big unconventional dreams. Her dreams are soon met with a calling. A competition promises the winner to be featured on NASA's Golden Record. In hopes of winning, the young girl bands together with a group of unlikely allies to form a troop of Birdie Scouts. On their adventure, these Birdie Scouts develop the best of friendships that will endure their entire lives. In chasing her dreams, the young Georgia girl finds more than she could have ever hoped for.
