Overview
Harvey Shine is a divorced, disaffected and disheartened American commercial jingle writer who is making plans to visit London to attend his daughter's wedding. Kate Walker works at Heathrow Airport for a living and attends writing classes, deals with her neurotic mother, and goes on unsuccessful dates in her free time. Faced with repeated bad news and letdowns in their personal lives, the two cross paths multiple times in London and begin to bond over their shared misfortune and the hope for a better future.
