Overview
Finn, a young graduate student writing her Master's thesis, takes a break from her work to stay with her grandmother during the summer. In leaving behind her fiance, her summer is spent mulling over the end of her freedom and whether Sam is the man with whom she wants to spend the rest of her life. As she sits with her grandmother and a group of quilting bee friends, she wonders whether a monogamous life is what she really wants, especially as Sam makes changes to the floor plans of their dream home. The quilting ladies relate their own experiences in life and love to help Finn find her own way.
