Lucy is a lonely ticket collector who develops a crush on customer Peter only moments before he gets pushed onto the subway tracks. Lucy saves him but at the hospital discovers he's in a coma. Through a misunderstanding, a nurse tells the family that Lucy is his fiance, and the quirky yet loving family welcomes her with open arms, startling Lucy into saying nothing. Soon Lucy meets Jack, Peter's brother, and as they wait for Peter to awaken, the two fall in love. Lucy tries in vain to work up the nerve to break the news, and when Peter wakes up and doesn't remember her, they determine that he has amnesia. A quick wedding is thrown together that ends with Lucy tearfully confessing her lie and her love for Jack and the entire family. |
