Dr. Richard Thorndyke has become the new director of the Psycho-Neurotic Institute for the Very, Very Nervous. When he arrives, he realizes some strange things are happening there. He receives warnings from the hospital’s violent ward. A doctor then dies from an overdose of loud music. A madcap series of adventures, inspired by Alfred Hitchcock suspense films, ensues. A bellboy attacks Thorndyke with a newspaper. Asked to investigate the treatment of patient Arthur Brisbane, Thorndyke is set up by henchmen who frame him for murder in the lobby of a very high hotel. He sets out to prove his innocence, battling birds and the crazy Nurse Diesel along the way.
