In a heart-thumping fight for survival, a wealthy widow turned hot-air balloon pilot takes to the skies with a scientist attempting to fly higher than anyone has before. They aim to understand the weather in new ways, using cutting-edge science for 1862. The two battle all the elements of the skies as they rise through an increasingly hostile and thinning atmosphere.
