Overview
Ricki Randazzo, is a middle aged rock star who plays dive bars in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. Her life is turned upside down when her ex-husband calls to tell her that their distraught daughter is going through a very messy divorce. Ricki flies out to Chicago to try and comfort her daughter, who rejects her. She also finds out that one of her sons is getting married and that another is gay. Ricki realizes that she's missed out on so many years of her children's lives in her pursuit of fame and attempts to find some sort of redemption.
