Overview
This tale examines the true life story of James Burns, a young man whose early life on the street as a part of a Denver gang leads him to a life sentence in prison. After a childhood filled with violence and illicit activities, James begins a new existence in a maximum security prison, but much to his surprise, his fortunes begin to take a turn for the better. While James still faces decades behind bars, he begins to find hope thanks to a fellow prisoner. While this man is a murderer, he is also a sage who has come to find a deep peace and contentment, and as he shares that with young James, the former gang member begins to have a very different outlook.
