Overview
Hazel suffers from stage IV cancer, although a medical miracle bought her a few more years. At a cancer support group, she meets fellow cancer patient Augustus Waters. The teenagers share the same unconventional sense of humor and fall in love, despite the inevitable fate they face. Their love sends them on a journey made more remarkable by Hazel's constant oxygen tank and Gus's prosthetic leg. Falling in love at a cancer support group appeals to their disdain for the ordinary.
