Overview
Death comes to Daniel Miller unexpectedly, in the form of a car accident. When he awakens in the afterlife, it's not what he expects either. In Judgement City, he discovers that his life on earth will be judged according to how much courage he had in overcoming his fears. The council deciding his fate -- whether or not he will be sent on to the next part of the afterlife, or returned to earth in another form to try to learn again to overcome his fears -- is divided about Daniel. They keep a close watch on him. When Daniel falls in love with Julia, a fellow resident of Judgement City, they wait to see if he will have the courage to really love her.
