Overview
When the porn industry chews up Linda Lovelace and spits her out, she can sink or swim. The courageous, young woman takes the reins and wins control over her life, becoming empowered. Originally Linda Boreman, the bio drama depicts Lovelace's relationship with a controlling husband who actually forces her into a life of prostitution, actually threatening her life. Soon after, her career as a porn star takes off. She suffers years of abuse at her husband's hands, finally breaking free with the assistance of a movie producer. Eventually, she moved to Long Island and begins a new life, marrying once again and having a son. Linda goes on to write Ordeal, the story of her abusive relationship. She becomes an advocate against pornography.
