Overview
Society has decided that entertainment is critically important, so it allows the prison system to create the Death Race circuit. This is a circuit of racers who are all on death row and have absolutely nothing to lose. Each racer is given an identity, a car, and a crew made up of other death row inmates. The team that can stay alive long enough and win the most races will win its freedom. Carl Lucas is a death row inmate who becomes a Death Race driver known as Frankenstein. He and his crew are the most successful racing team in the Death Race history and they are only one race away from winning their freedom. But someone does not want Frankenstein to go free and he has to find out who before it is too late.
