Overview
Corky is a woman recently released from prison who strikes up an affair with Violet, a resident of the apartment building where she has taken up maintenance work. Their romance is complicated by the presence of Violet's boyfriend Caesar, a brutal Mafioso who deals in laundering money. Violet is rattled when she overhears Caesar and his partners viciously torturing an embezzling Mafia accountant and she seeks comfort with Corky, with whom she develops a scheme to steal the money that Caesar is retrieving from the doomed accountant.
