An action-packed thriller based on the United States' real-life Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System, Con Air follows a group of prisoners as they are transported from a maximum security prison to a new facility. Along for the ride is Cameron Poe, a Gulf War veteran and ex-Army Ranger who was convicted of manslaughter eight years earlier for killing a man while defending his pregnant wife. Having secured his own release on parole, Poe is en route to his hometown in Alabama and plans to meet his wife and daughter there. After several dangerous prisoners are able to hijack the C-123 plane – appropriately named the "Jailbird" – Poe must prevent the convicts from successfully executing their planned escape in order to make it safely home to his family. |
