Overview
The story of Simba, the lion cub who ran away from home and returned as an adult to claim the throne his evil uncle had usurped, is well-known by now, but Timon the meerkat and Pumbaa the warthog are determined to let the world in on some of the details that the official account missed. Their perspective is very different, so this midquel is much more lighthearted and more of a comedy than a drama. Timon is a relentless wise-cracker, while Pumbaa has a heart of gold but a tendency to be a bit dim-witted, not to mention flatulent. Hence, there are many bodily humor jokes, as well as places where Pumbaa and Timon can't agree with each other on what happened before Simba's reign.
