Colonel Nascimento is an elite paramilitary expert in his home city of Rio de Janeiro. The Colonel is working at a prison when a riot breaks out after an attempt by a group of rebels to free some of the prisoners being held. Nascimento and his second in command, Captain Matias, are accused of unnecessarily executing prisoners during the riot. But when Matias is transferred to a division of the police force that is corrupt and in charge of prison security, Nascimento is cleared of all wrong-doing. But the problems for Nascimento do not end there as he gets himself wrapped up in a complicated political web that involves lies, sex and political corruption. |
