Lexie Persimmon is the stage name of a stripper who has disappeared and Ned Cruz is the Los Angeles gumshoe hired by a professional boxer named Anton to find out the truth about her disappearance. After following a series of clues, Cruz begins to wonder if Lexie is a real woman or just a figment of Anton's imagination. Cruz finally discovers that a cross-dressing physicist has assumed the persona of a stripper and been writing letters to Anton, putting Cruz's life in danger as he becomes involved with the Russian mob. |
