Overview
Betty Anne Waters is a single mother who strives to free her wrongfully convicted brother, Kevin, from prison. Though he has always been a trouble maker, Betty believes in his innocence because he was convicted with purely circumstantial evidence. Devastated by a suicide attempt on Kenny's part, Betty decides to pursue a degree in law so that she can exonerate her brother. It's tough going, and it threatens her home life as well as her finances. Despite being stonewalled by the police department repeatedly, Betty manages to get her hands on some of the evidence used to convict Kenny at his trial. Upon testing it, she reveals that Kenny's DNA does not match that of the evidence. However, a corrupt policewoman is standing in the way of Kenny's freedom, and this may not be enough.
