Overview
Three Australian army officers are charged with war crimes during South Africa’s Second Boer War of 1899. The men are accused of summarily executing prisoners without just cause, and also killing a German missionary worker with sniper fire. The soldiers are put on trial and a tense courtroom drama plays out against the background of one of South Africa’s bloodiest wars. Strong evidence suggests the men are innocent and are being used as pawns in a larger political game focused on ending the war.
