Overview
An American businessman named Ed Horman travels to Chile during the days of the Allende coup in 1973 in order to investigate the disappearance of his journalist son, aided by his daughter in law. As the two continue to search for the missing Charlie Horman, his father rails against his son's political views, saying that his radical beliefs were responsible for his kidnapping and disappearance. But the longer that Horman and his daughter-in-law Beth search for Charlie, all evidence begins to point to the fact that U.S. involvement in the coup is most likely responsible for causing Charlie's disappearance and eventual death.
