Overview
Irv Blitzer is a disgraced former Olympic bobsledder living out his days as a bookie in Jamaica when Derice Bannock, a runner, and Sanka Coffie, a champion push-cart racer, ask him to coach them in bobsledding. Two more runners, Yul Brenner and Junior Bevil, join their team and they begin training in bobsled racing. When they finally qualify for the Winter Olympics, they must learn to deal with cruel competitors, vindictive judges holding a grudge, and very cold weather.
