Overview
High school is tough, and being smart, hard-working and curious does not help 14-year old Lucas become any more socially accepted. Lucas is small, not particularly athletic and he is bullied daily by his larger, dumber classmates. There is one startling exception. Cappie, the popular football team captain, takes Lucas under his wing and protects him while learning to appreciate Lucas for his smarts and bravery. Unfortunately, a new girl in school comes between the two. Maggie soon becomes best friends with Lucas while falling in love with Cappie. Lucas starts to see Cappie as a rival for Maggie’s attentions. Can the pair overcome jealousy and save their friendship?
