Overview
High school aged twins David and Jennifer don’t always get along. One night when they’re fighting over what to watch on television, the remote control breaks. A mysterious repairman shows up and the 1990s-era twins find themselves transported back into a sitcom from the 1950s. At first they try to blend into the black and white sitcom world. Eventually they introduce new ideas and feelings there with an unexpected result: the world begins to burst into color. Some people welcome this, while others try to push things back to the bland way they were. The controversy continues and David and Jennifer have to decide whether to stay in Pleasantville, where they’ve caused so much change, or return to their normal lives.
