Overview
Josh Baskin is humiliated when denied a chance to ride a carnival ride because he is too short. When he puts a coin into a fortune-telling machine at the carnival, he wishes to be "big." The next morning, Josh wakes to find his wish is granted, and he now inhabits the body of a 30-year-old man. His mother cannot believe any of this and thinks that her son was kidnapped by the strange man now in her home. Josh flees to New York until he can decide what to do. In the city, Josh meets the owner of a toy company. Since Josh is really little more than a child in the body of an adult, he is hired as a toy tester. His life changes drastically as he finds a girlfriend and moves into the adult world. However, toward the end of the movie, Josh yearns to return to life as a kid. He seeks out the fortune-telling machine and wishes his life back to the way it was.
