Overview
It's been four years since the town of Amity was terrorized by a massive great white shark, and the beach town is finally putting the past behind it. Developer Len Peterson has built a new resort that is attracting tourists back to Amity's formerly troubled waters. However, a new series of gruesome incidents has Police Chief Martin Brody suspecting that there may be another finned menace stalking the shore. Fearing such news will spook tourists and undermine the town's growth, Mayor Larry Vaughn and Peterson go to great lengths to quiet Brody. Despite their efforts, they can only deny the mounting evidence of a second killer shark so long before the beast threatens to jeopardize the lives of their loved ones.
