Overview
This long-awaited sequel to the hit thriller "Chinatown" follows private investigator Jake Gittes, now in his middle years and recently engaged to marry a woman who is many years his junior. When Jake hears the name of a former flame during a wiretapping session involving a cuckolded husband also named Jake, he is drawn back to his past and many unresolved issues. When the husband of the cheating woman he has been tailing murders her lover, Jake is left to determine whether or not the shooting was justified or simply a case of first-degree murder.
