Overview
A man plays a joke on a woman in a bird shop in San Francisco. They've met, but she doesn't remember him. The woman, a wealthy socialite, brings the lovebirds he was shopping for to his home in Bodega Bay. The two reconnect despite his mother's disapproval of the woman. During her visit, birds begin attacking townspeople without explanation. Their attacks become hard to escape, and the couple and his family are unable to escape them, even inside his home. The climax of the movie finds them fending off birds that have made their way in through the fireplace and attic.
