Aurora Greenway, the main character in "Terms of Endearment," returns as a woman still struggling to make it as a bereaved mother with troubled children to support. Three of her grandchildren face serious issues, and Aurora is determined to help them; she just isn't sure what she can do for them. Sadness and humor intermingle as she draws upon the tragedies of her past to help her deal with the trials of today. One of her grandsons has been imprisoned, while another is struggling to survive as he is barely able to make enough money to stay off the streets. Meanwhile, her granddaughter is rebellious, and she has to reach deep into her past in order to tap into the adolescent angst she is experiencing. |
