Jim Craig has spent 18 years of his life on a farm in the mountains of Australia; Jim's father Henry is accidentally killed, and Jim must go to the lowlands and work to save the family farm or station. Through a friend named Spur, Jim gets a job at a lowlands farm that Harrison, Spur's brother, owns. It is soon revealed that there is bad blood between Spur and Harrison. Jim and Jessica, Harrison's daughter, meet and fall in love. Jessica is unaware of the relationship between Harrison and Spud, but she learns of it through a series of mishaps. Jim is falsely accused of stealing a horse. He finds the horse and returns it, but refuses the reward but says he will return for what is his. Jim lets Jessica know he will return for her and his reward in the future, and returns to the mountains. |
