Overview
The royal family and advisers to King George III are alarmed when he begins to show signs of a mental breakdown. The king's disintegration leaves the way to the throne open for his decadent son George, who is plotting to assume control from his lunatic father. In desperation, the queen allows every quack doctor at court to use their useless remedies to heal the king's mind. She finally permits Dr. Francis Willis to use his new methods to cure the king, but even Dr. Willis' harsh techniques may not work in time to stop Prince George's scheme.
