Overview
William Wallace is a boy when he sees his father and brother murdered along with many others by English troops under a banner of peace. Wallace is collected to go live with his uncle, an educated man who raises Wallace to learn philosophy and speak multiple languages. Wallace returns to his Scottish village as a young man. He falls in love with a girl he knew as a child, and they get secretly married. An English lord rapes Wallace’s new bride, and Wallace kills him. The English troops kill Wallace’s bride in revenge. Enraged, Wallace starts a rebellion to throw the English invaders out of Scotland once and for all. The only question is if he can gain the support of the nobility to make it happen.
