Overview
Brian McCafferty watches his firefighter father die as a hero saving lives in a devastating fire. He grows up wanting to follow in his father’s footsteps, and now he is joining his older brother Steven in the fire department. The two of them do not get along well, and this tension boils up to the surface when they work together. Shortly after Brian joins the fire department, a string of arson fires are set. All of them were set to kill a specific target. Frustrated by his brother Steven and anxious to stop the arsonist, Brian transfers to the investigative office of the fire department. Brian meets a crafty old fire investigator, Donald Rimgale. Donald thinks of fire as a living thing, and he teaches Brian everything he needs to know to catch the arsonist.
