Overview
Shrek 2 is the sequel to the hugely popular animated movie Shrek. The movie begins right where the original left off, following Shrek and Princess Fiona's wedding. It turns out that not everyone "lived happily ever after". Prince Charming feels that he should have been the one to rescue and marry Fiona instead of Shrek. Fiona's parents, King Harold and Queen Lillian, don't approve of the marriage either. The king devises a plan to get Shrek out of the picture and enlists the help of Puss in Boots, a feline known for his ogre slaying abilities. At the same time, Fiona's Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming work together to break up Shrek and Fiona so that Prince Charming can marry her instead.
