Overview
Teenager Holly Hamilton has seen her mom Jean uproot the family too many times after failed relationships. Determined to stay put, she invents a secret admirer for Jean, who is taken by the made-up man's charms. To keep the hoax going, Holly is forced to give the man a face. She uses the photo of her friend's uncle Ben, who she also goes to for romantic advice. Holly communicates as Ben to her mom but makes up reasons why they can't meet when Jean replies online that she wants a face to face. Eventually the charade is uncovered, but for once, Jean doesn't take off in flight. She stays grounded and then actually starts a relationship with the real Ben, who appears to have been the perfect man for Jean all along.
