Overview
When Daniel Larusso’s mother forces the two of them to relocate to an apartment complex in California, Daniel is faced with the challenge of fitting in at a new high school. All does not go smoothly, however, as he pursues a girl who is already dating Johnny, a bully and student of the Cobra Kai karate dojo. After several fights with Johnny and his Cobra Kai friends, Daniel takes repeated beatings. His attempts to rely on some minor karate training are met with defeat. Observing Daniel’s dilemma, Mr. Miyagi, the apartment complex’s maintenance man and a secret karate master, takes Daniel under his wing. The tables start to turn as Daniel trains to become a karate master in his own right.
