Pair an adventure writer, who writes about unlikely adventures, with (Jack) a haphazard solider of fortune and there is plenty of room for a real adventure to take place. Joan Wilder's books lack a certain element of reality, but that all changes when her sister finds a way to call and reveal she is being held prisoner by evil Colombia art dealers. Add to this scenario a map that leads to a valuable treasure and the real adventure is on. The wilds of Colombia offer numerous, perilous situations for Jack and Joan to navigate. The treasure, a jewel, changes hands numerous time in this fast-paced, fun adventure. The ending offers a pleasant surprise. |
