Overview
Raiders of the Lost Ark is an adventure film set in 1936. Archaeologist and college professor Indiana Jones, after an unsuccessful excursion in South America, is tapped to assist with stopping the Nazis from advancing on their quest to harness occult power. Jones, after thinking through the locations and articles already in possession, deduces that they are actually in search of the Ark of the Covenant. Jones sets to the task of recovering the Ark of the Covenant before the German Nazis. From the United States to Nepal, to Egypt, Indiana Jones makes his way toward the Ark, encountering dangerous characters and mysterious challenges along the way.
