Overview
When a Russian circus visits New York City, a clown in the group wants to defect. Instead, a saxophone player for the troupe, Vladimir Ivanoff, decides to defect to the United States while visiting Bloomingdales. He quickly is befriended by a security guard at the department store and begins dating an Italian immigrant girl who works the fragrance department. Ivanoff struggles to find work as a musician and search for his own piece of the American Dream.
