Overview
In 1925, Dodge Connolly believes that his ragtag football team can be whipped into playing shape. Although the group is best known for their late night bar fights, he still continues to dream big despite losing their sponsorship. In a last ditch effort to not only save the team, but possibly football itself, Dodge invites American hero Carter Rutherford to join the team. The team does start to improve, but with success comes suspicion from reporters and even the team.
