Jack Powell has the personality and all the hopes and dreams of a typical ten-year-old boy. However, due to a rare disorder, he looks like a 40-year-old man. Hence, he runs into a lot of problems when his parents decide that the time has come for him to attend regular school. Fifth grade is hard enough for normal kids, but it's worse for Jack, especially when his over-mature hormones clash with his ten-year-old mind as he falls for his teacher. Gradually, though, Jack gains acceptance from his classmates with some help from his personal tutor, Lawrence. The children begin to see that despite his appearance, he really is a boy just like them, and they should enjoy their time together because his is especially limited. |
