Shortly after Zach tells his crush, Amy, how he feels about her, he finds out that he likely only has six months to live because his cancer has spread throughout his body.
Zach and his best friend Sammy, who is also his song-writing partner, decide to make an album together. To their shock, it becomes a viral sensation that quickly acquires them fame.
