Overview
The crew of the Niamh Cinn Oir, a West of Ireland fishing trawler, welcome on board an introverted biology student, Siobhan, who studies marine life. The skipper, Gerard, and his wife, Freya, along with the rest of the crew go about their normal schedule for hauling in catches. Over the course of her stay, Siobhan finds that the crew are unable to warm up to her. So, she does her best to continue her research without making any enemies until, in deep Atlantic waters, the boat is suddenly struck by something. Siobhan and the crew soon discover that a never-before-seen marine life form has attached tentacles to the hull. It burrows through the metal and enters the water supply. Siobhan must find a way to stop the infestation before the crew attempt to take the boat back to the mainland...
